Alex Ball

founder, Sacred Valley Project

A graduate of Brandeis University with a degree in international relations, Alex spends most of the year in Peru, where he oversees the Sacred Valley Project and helps to coordinate the growth and improvement of the dormitory. He has an intimate knowledge of the Sacred Valley, and has worked with local communities and the regional government in efforts to improve sanitation, build infrastructure for sustainable economic development, and install electricity in rural communities. A seasoned traveler of Central and South America, Alex has built houses with Habitat for Humanity in Costa Rica and studied the Landless Workers Movement in northeastern Brazil. In addition to his role at the Sacred Valley Project, Alex currently serves as a country manager for Rustic Pathways.
